Wait, what? Posting my weigh in on the day that I weigh in... I think the planets have aligned or something...
Well, I weighed in at 312.8. So I am down another 2 pounds from last week. That wasn't the case on Monday when I weighed in, I was at NASCAR last weekend and I was having some fun. Still tried to make good decisions, and listen to my body when I was hungry/full. But I still managed to indulge in some of the usual items that are around that weekend.
My starting weight is 318.8 so I've lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks. Which seems like a lot of weight to me, but when you are actively loosing weight, the studies suggest that 1-2 pounds a week is sustainable. So I am a little on the high end of the range, I am sure I will be slowing down here.
Other than that, I had my final fitting for my dress on Monday, and everything is good to go! So excited. It really is making things more real, when you start saying final meeting or final fitting.... seesh! 10 days to go!

Wednesday Weigh In
Well, this post isn't timely... I weighed in on Wednesday and posted it to the weight loss group, but never posted it here.
Starting Weight: 9/7/11: 318.8
Today's Weight: 9/14/11: 315.8
A loss of 3 pounds in the first week! This makes me feel very "happy of myself" (cute video, you should watch it)! I'll take it. With the upcoming wedding and all the stress surrounding it, I have not been able to focus on my weight loss. People have been asking me if I am nervous about the wedding, no... I am not nervous about marrying the love of my life! I am nervous/stressed about ensuring that all the little pieces and components come together for the day.
I have some wonderful vendors and some amazing friends who are willing to help me ensure that I have the best possible day. And I can never say thank you enough to them all.
I am hoping after the wedding that I can get back on track and focus on the weight loss, that doesn't mean I am going to let loose and kick back now. But I am acknowledging that right now, I can't simply focus all of my attention on my weight loss.
Thankfully this challenge is a 3 month challenge and I have some time to catch up and kick butt!
Today (Saturday) is my parents 17th wedding anniversary. My parents being my dad and stepmom. They are such an example to me of how I think a lasting relationship should be.
Thumbs up for Rock and Roll!

Fourth of July Weekend Recap!
Hello! Sorry I've been a little MIA this weekend, I swear it wasn't by fault! I had a weekend jam-packed with family BBQ's and fireworks. I got a little more than I bargained for!
Friday I weighed in, I gained this week, I weighed in at 307.4, a gain of 2.6 pounds. I haven't been tracking, I've let it fall to the wayside, and I just need to get back into some good habits. I can't keep gaining and loosing the same 3-5 pounds, I need to break this cycle, and the consistency is something that I can help/change.
One thing that is working for me is the Strong for 23, which is basically committing to working out 23 times every month. I mark it on the calender next to my bed, and it is such a visual reminder for me. There have been days/evenings when I get home and all I want to do is crash, but I look at the calendar and it reminds me to get moving. My only requirements (self-imposed) is that it has to be at least 30 minutes of activity, usually it's longer, but at minimum, 30 minutes.
Here is June:
I've also been logging my weight on the calendar as well, just because it's easier for me to do so. This month, it was easy to get some time in, especially with Steve's marathon week challenge, it forced me to walk longer, and I found a new route that I love! It's roughly 6.2 miles, and it takes me about 2 hours to complete. I've done the route twice now, and I still enjoy it.
Having this visual is really helping to keep me motivated with my activity levels, and being that it's summer I am trying to get out more often. It's working too, even though I use sunscreen and bug spray, I am still getting some color. I don't want to burn though!
Saturday was supposed to be a nice family BBQ at my parents house, what it actually was, a surprise Wedding Shower! My parents with the help of some of my best friends, threw a fantastic shower for Ben and I! I was in shock. That wasn't the only surprise. Amy, my cousin and maid of honor was supposed to be Skyping with us so we could chat and catch up, but no, she was in on it too and actually flew up! She had been in New Hampshire since Tuesday! My parents had been hiding her!
There were about 40 people there, which is surprising given the fact that it was a holiday weekend and people usually have their own plans. I felt so well loved and blessed to have some amazing people in my life. It was such a wonderful time! There was so much food, but I had just eaten, I didn't get a chance to enjoy anything!
There are some pictures coming in on facebook, but here is one for all my bloggie readers:
Since Ben and I are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon, the party was Hawaiian themed.

| My gals! That's me in the purple! |
Looking at this picture (and others) I can't see the progress I've made, and it's disturbing to me. I still see my extra flabby midsection and my large legs, I can't seem to focus on the positive. I also noticed that I am still the "big" friend... I hope that there comes a time when that is no longer the case! I am still very much a W.I.M.P.! and I am ok with that!
The rest of the weekend was spent with my cousin Amy and having a great time with her. So sad to see her leave! But it's great knowing that October is only a few short months away!
I stepped on the scale this morning, just to see where things were at and they were NOT good, up from Friday even! So I am going to focus on tracking my food and pushing lots of water! Hopefully I can rebound before this Friday!
How was everyone's Fourth?

Weighing in and Marathon Week
First off, let me say, that I am so over being sick, I've been on Augmentin for my sinus infection for a week, I still have a few more days left, but I am on day 29 of being sick! I hate not being able to run, even all this walking and activity for Marathon Week has made my cough VERY productive (don't worry, I won't go into anymore details beyond that...)
Marathon Week has been super thus far, I've been at least walking every day and getting some serious mileage in. Some days, it's all at once, most days it's broken up into smaller walks. It's been nice to shake things up a bit. The balls of my feet have been killing me! I guess they aren't used to all this activity.
Some reflections on the week:

It's been nice to shake things up a bit. The balls of my feet have been killing me! I guess they aren't used to all this activity.
Some reflections on the week:
- First off - I a super proud of myself for even attempting this, if I were able to run, I don't think I would have as much of issue with this, but not being able to run, definitely made this a challenge.
- My H2B joined the challenge, Ben said that he'd join in the "fun" and he's been doing great, he did a big long walk on Monday (think like 14 miles) and he's been awesome. So proud of my guy!
- I have spent more time walking without music than I have with music this week. It's a nice change of pace to actually listen to the world around you.
- I hate bugs... especially bugs that chase you.... and mosquitoes, they are just nasty.
- I've found some great new places to go for a walk and can't wait to explore some more.
As of right now, I am at 25.1 miles for the week that includes just over ten miles of biking yesterday at the gym. I am currently at work, for what looks like a 48 hour shift, so I won't be getting out of work until Sunday morning. So I will only have to do a "small" walk on Sunday in order to complete the challenge. I am super proud of myself.
Thank you to Steve for setting up and hosting this challenge, it's been awesome, just like he is!
And now, for the weigh in. Friday is my typical weigh in day, so here it is: 305.5.
Not really sure why I had a 1.5 pound gain this week, it may be the Augmentin? Or maybe just all the increase in activity from this week. I'm still tracking my food using My Fitness Pal and I haven't gone over my calories any day last week. I guess we'll have to see if it comes off next week or the week after (when I'll be fully off the Augmentin). It's a little frustrating, but I am not going to let it get me down.
This week was my step mom's birthday, she's recently had to switch to a gluten free diet, so dad made her a fried dinner, we had homemade french fries, chicken, haddock, scallops and shrimp. All of the breading and seasoning was gluten free, it actually tasted better than how he usually made it! For desert, we splurged, dad got her a carrot cake that was gluten free, and I am not usually a big fan of carrot cake, but this one was excellent. It tasted more like spice cake than carrot.
I've tried several meals that she's cooked now and if I may brag for a moment, my step mom has ALWAYS been an excellent cook, and she's been working hard trying to find good substitutes for her meals that she loves, and she's really doing an excellent job of things. I am so proud of her and proud of my dad for at least trying her gluten free recipes.
And lastly, for those of you who remembered... here is a picture of me, while on one of my walks from this week.
Please don't mind the bra strap in the picture, this was an hour into my walk on a hot and humid day...

Weighing in, in more ways than one
There is a lot going on in my world right now, some I openly talk about here on the blog and other stuff in my private life. It's been a really trying time and I've been stressed out. Hopefully after last night, things will begin to mellow out.
Today is National Donut Day, I purposely avoided Dunkin' Donuts and opted to forgo my iced coffee, because I knew that with any beverage purchase, Dunkin' Donuts was giving out a free donut. I didn't want to give in to temptation, so I oped out. Not going to lie, it felt really good to be able to do that for myself. I didn't want to sabotage my day.
Also, today is Friday, my weigh in day, I stepped on the scale to see a 304. Which is a loss, and not only a loss of the gain I had last week, but still continuing down beyond that. Since starting tracking again with My Fitness Pal, I've lost 13 pounds. That is since May 1st. So in a little over a month I've lost 13 pounds. I am sure it's a lot of water weight, because that seems like a lot of weight to loose in one month.
Still a bit bittersweet for me, this is only like the fourth time I've lost the same weight, but I need to remain focus and celebrate the small victories for me, and hopefully, I will be able to end the madness that is the 300's for me.
I am now on day 22 of being sick, and I am waving the white flag, I will be starting the new antibotic tonight, I really didn't want to, but I am not getting any better and really I need to. By the time I finish the medicine, I will have been sick for over a month, which is just insane. HOPEFULLY I will begin to feel better....
I am looking forward to starting Steve's Marathon Week Challenge on Monday, I think it's going to be challenging to find time to get that amount of activity in, but that's why they call it a challenge. I think it will be a great accomplishment and a huge motivator for me. Have I mentioned that I love Steve! He's always there when I need a pep talk...or a swift kick in the pants (virtually, of course)

Weight Update
Well I forgot to weigh in last week, mostly due to getting sick and just completely forgetting about it (trust me not the ONLY thing I forgot while being sick)
I did remember to weigh in today, and it was remarkable, I weighed in at 305.8! A 5 pound loss in 2 weeks. Now mind you , I firmly believe that is 5 pound of mucus and snot that I shed, because I feel that is all that I've been doing (blowing my nose and such).
But hey, a loss is a loss and I'll take it. On top of that I am feeling more and more better as each day goes on. This makes me really happy.
I am depressed about missing FitBloggin' this year. However, if anything it only makes me more determined to get there next year. I just hope I can at least have my bloggie BFF's there (Kerri and Steve). I can't wait to read about everyone's recaps though!
Honestly though I think it's best for me to be home right now, I am recovering from being sick, FitBloggin' wouldn't be much fun sick, and I can accomplish a lot of stuff for the wedding. So at the very least, I am being productive!
With less than 5 months to the wedding, I am starting to feel more pressure and trying to get some tasks wrapped up. There has been a lot going on with the wedding, lots of stress, I am just hoping that things can subside as I feel like it's way too early on to be dealing with so much stress.

Weight Update and Bloggie Awards
So last Sunday I was 317.4, Monday I was 312.4. I weighed in on Friday at 310.8 A loss of 6.6 from last Sunday and 1.6 from Monday.
Needless to say, I am happy to see the scale going in the right direction. I've stuck to staying active, and I am still 100% for the month. Getting at least some activity in every day. I will be Strong for 23 in May! I've been tracking my food and activity using the my fitness pal app for my iPhone, I've been very pleased with this program, not only are the majority of the foods in there, but also I like that you can also track your activity/workouts and the calories burned are included in your totals. Almost like the "Activity Points" I'd earn using the Weight Watchers plan.
I've had a fun weekend. Ben and I went to the Drive In on Friday night and had a wonderful date night. Saturday, I went to my mom's house and caught up with her and then we had another couple come over Saturday night and we had a nice evening catching up with them, they are in the process of buying a house and fairly nervous about it. Today, Sunday, Mother's Day, I took my step mother and my dad out to a baseball game, we had a blast, and the rain held off until the last inning. We left early and headed out to dinner. All in all it was great to spend some time with them and have a good outing.
I also recently received a blog award from Whitney over at Getting Healthy. Thank you Whitney, you've always given me positive thoughts whenever I've needed it!
And here are the rules with the Stylish Blogger Award:
1. Post a link back to the person who gave it to me....see the above link!
2. Give it to 5 blogs that I L.O.V.E. and stop by their blogs to let them know.

5. I am looking forward to becoming a mom and starting a family of my own
6. I have a degree in business administration, but I am an emergency dispatcher (love my job)
7. I am really sad about not getting to go to FitBloggin' this year....

Weighing In
I spent all of last week at my parent's house watching the house and the cat, I knew when I posted last week, that since I wasn't going to be in my routine, that I was nervous about my abilities to stay focused. I was basically eating out for every meal, and although I was still getting some long walks in I was nervous about the results.
Well yesterday, Sunday, I was finally back at my own apartment and I stepped on the scale. 317.4, I was mortified. I had no idea it was THAT bad. I re-weighed in another 2 times with the same results before going on about my day. That is a huge increase over the 311.8 I was last week.
I knew that I didn't track at all last week, and really how many times can I say it, tracking is key... I need to be able to hold myself accountable. I started using My Fitness Pal, I didn't care for the SparkPeople app, and so far, I like My Fitness Pal's app better. So for now, I'll be tracking using the My Fitness Pal program and see how that goes. If you are on there, come find me!
Getting ready for the day, I put on my work pants and they seemed to fit like they always do, I had no idea where this weight was on my body, since usually it goes to my stomach and thighs first.
I got home from work last night and I completed my week 2 day 1 C25K session. I got home, and really was comfortable being there, but I forced myself to get out there and do it. It sucked at first, but I dug deep and by the end, I was so happy and proud of myself for doing it.
Yesterday, I also mailed in my registration for the Covered Bridge 5K in September in Henniker, NH. This is about an hour away from me, I've always loved Covered Bridges so I am hoping this will be fun. Also its about halfway between myself and another bloggie friend, Kayla and she is hopefully going to be joining me in running this race!
I may do some other races this year, but this one I thought would be cool. I wanted to register early, so I was committed and wouldn't back out of it. This is something that I can focus on.
Today, just for my own interest, I hopped on the scale this morning, and it read 312.4, I had lost 5 pounds in a day... which leads me to believe that it was mostly water weight I was carrying, probably also why my pants still fit normally. So I am still up overall, but not nearly as bad as originally thought. And hopefully now I can resume my regular Friday weigh in's from now on.

Progress & Attune Foods
Well after last week, I guess that was the a$$ kicking I needed. Not only did I restart the C25K program, I also went to the gym, and yesterday my workout consisted of helping out on the farm (including off loading hay bales). I also tracked my food for the majority of the week (I think I missed 2 days).
And my efforts paid off, as I am happy to report that the my scale read 311.8 this morning, still not under the 310 mark, but way better than where I was last week. Now I just have to keep this momentum going.
Let's face it tracking my food is helping. I need to suck it up and do the work. I am the only one to blame for where I am at today, and I am the only one who can change it.
I think part of my problem, is that I work, a lot. And almost always never say no to overtime. Let's face it, in this economy, I should be happy I have a job, but also have a job that still has overtime available. But I think it may be doing more harm than good, and I haven't been taking care of myself as well as I could have been. This past week, I not only didn't work any overtime, but I also made use of my time off to make sure I got some activity in.
That being said, this upcoming week won't be the same case, as I took 2 extra shifts this week. I am also going to be out of my element, as I am staying at my parents house while they are on vacation. These are just obstacles, and I will overcome them, I am still going to track my food, and get any activity in when I can.
I realize now that I need to be able to take time for myself, not only does it recharge my batteries, but allows me to better take care of myself.
In other news, Kerri tweeted at me the other day that Attune Foods is hosting a giveaway, and a big one at that. The giveaway is a ticket to FitBloggin' but also $500 for travel or hotel. This would be huge for me! Right now, I am not able to go, with my wedding less than 6 months away there just isn't enough money in the budget for me to go.
It's great that Attune Foods is so supportive of our weight loss blog community, in addition to this awesome giveaway they are also sponsoring several other aspects of the FitBloggin' conference. I've never tried any of their products, but given their supportive nature of something dear to me, it's worth a try. I took a peek at their website and they offer many Gluten Free breakfast items. Not going to lie, the mint chocolate bar sounds delicious!
I am hoping that Attune picks me to go to FitBloggin' I'd love the opportunity to learn more about healthy living and building a better blog. Also the chance to meet several individuals who I've become dear friends with would also be a huge super bonus!

WIP
I'm a WIP or a Work in Progress... these last two weeks have been crazy. Lots of traveling and lots of unregulated eating. This week was training week. As I had a class on Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday through Friday I had a state conference. Ugh!
Although I am happy that I got a lot of training done, I think it was almost too much information in a short period, I would have like to have broken it up over a longer period. I guess I'll know not to do THAT again.
And my weight shows.... I am up to 315, that my friends is a gain of 7 pounds from last week. Now, I know that part of that is water weight, but still my heart SANK when I saw that number on the scale. That makes me officially heavier than when I started Weight Watchers.
Something has got to give. I need to start journaling again, I'll be using SparkPeople, my user name is itsmecassieb please come find me and check up on me! I will either be posting my food here, or there on SparkPeople. I hope to use SparkPeople, but I know that I won't have the time to enter in all the food labels.
I finally have my days off this week and I don't have anything planned! I hope to get my gym on as well as perhaps going for a horseback ride.

Weekly Status Report
Well, my weight is down from last week, not as much as I had gained originally, but down. The scale is moving in the right direction. I am currently at 300 on the nose. Yeah that's right, last week I went above the 300 mark, not my finest moment. But I am a work in progress.
Since I can't change the past onto the future, my goals from last week were:
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day
- Track food for 2 days
- Drink at least 48 ounces of water every day
Well, I got my exercise in! My Gruve was green for 5 days last week. So happy about that! And I got about half of my water in everyday. I only got the full 48 ounces in 3 days last week.
My big olde fail of the week... tracking. Really, this is the worst part for me, I am so lazy about it. And I know that is why I am not losing weight.
With Toy Bank as my biggest stressor this time of year. My weight watchers goal is to just go to the meetings and be present. Actively listen and participate. I am really looking forward to the changes that Weight Watchers is implementing. I can't wait to see what is coming down the pipelines. I love it when companies re-invest in their product and research to make it better.
For this week, I am striving for the same goals. Although tracking is horrible for me, I need to make it (me) a priority and help myself. Especially with Thanksgiving this week, I need to be every mindful of my situation, and try to plan ahead as much as I can.
In other news, tomorrow, I am going on a road trip to pick up my 500 pound baby.... The UVM Morgan colt that I won in a raffle!

Weekly Weigh In & note to self
So my weigh in this week sucked. I was up. I don't even want to post it here... I just can't I need to revamp my priorities. I've made work number 1 when really it needs to be that I am number 1. I've got to put my health first.
My goals from last week:
Neither of them happened. Again, largely due to the choices I've made by focusing on other things aside from myself. Of note, I was still having trouble with my Gruve, so even though I was working out, it wasn't recording. After reviewing some materials, I decided that I will wear it on my ankle from now on.
Dear Self,
You've got so many dreams and big ideas for your life. You said you wanted to give it your best. Right now I am calling you out on that... you haven't been giving it your best. You let the excuses get in and beat you down. No more.
Go big or go home... don't give up this battle, you are SO worth it.
Luv Ya always... I'm kinda stuck with you
- Me
Now with that being said, I am setting the bar high this week:
My goals from last week:
- Get my Gruve green 4 days
- Track my food 2 days

Non weigh in
So due to me being absent minded and my work life (shift work) I forgot to weigh in this week... My usual weigh in day is Tuesday, and on that day, I thought it was Monday and by the end of the day I thought it was Wednesday. Ugh.
Goals for this week:

Weigh In
There has been so much going on. I am not terribly focused at the moment on Weight Watchers and my healthy living goals. I really enjoyed this week's meeting topic (Trick or Treat) and talking about all the little ways we trick ourselves into thinking it's a real treat.
Last Week's Weight: 296.4
This Week's Weight: 297.4
Gain: 1
Total Loss: -16.4
My next mini goal is to get back to a total of 20 pounds lost, I've been going back and forth. To accomplish this goal, for the next week, I will have a loss, I will have progress.
- Gruve to green at least 4 days this week
- Water, get my water intake in (64 ounces).
Today, I am going for my yearly physical with my doctor. I know I won't be as light than I wanted to be, but I am lighter than I was last year, and I need to focus on the long term goal of healthy living. I am making positive changes in my life. I hope that my doctor is at least a little pleased with my progress.
In wedding news, we had a cake date, and we love the baker! She's really wonderful and creative. We came up with a design that will be very fall and very New Hampshire. My stepmother is allergic to alcohol (tough break, but I always have a DD) so we had to get a cake that didn't use alcohol. We tried a chocolate torte cake, which was delicious... I can't stand chocolate cake (store or box), but her chocolate cake is homemade and is so amazing. I can't believe I went with a chocolate cake for my wedding cake. The sample tasted so good, I really loved it. So sad I'll have to wait nearly a year before I can have it again!
The weather in NH has been really wonky lately (typical, I guess), there is an old saying, If you don't like the weather in New England, wait 5 minutes. And it's been true the last couple of days. On Sunday H2B and I got together with Tricia and her Thyng Family to tag our respective Christmas trees. It took us about an hour and a half of wandering around to find one. Both were at the very back of the tree property. It was a fun outing, but when the rain started to fall, both Tricia and I were kind of done.
Then yesterday and today, it's looking like we are in the high 60's and low 70's. Wow, that's warm for late October! Soon enough snow will start to fly and we will all be looking forward to summer.
Take Care!

The red fire hat is to help us identify it when we come back in December to chop it down.

Weigh In
My back is feeling much better, instead of going to the chiropractor every day, I am going 3 times a week now. I still am not 100%, there are times where I still get a twinge of pain, but I've been cleared to do some minimal weight training and lifting. Just like weight loss, I'd love my back pain recovery to be quick and instant. It's not going to happen. Slow and steady, just like weight loss.
Last Week's Weight: 297
This Week's Weight: 296.4
Loss: -0.6
Total Loss: -17.4
I am still working off the weight I gained during my injury, but I am ok with it. Because I am making progress and the scale is moving in the right direction.
I am thinking about changing from monthly goals to weekly goals. I haven't been focused on getting my Gruve green, and I think that if I had a couple of weekly goals each week, that the shorter term would help keep me focused, and I could be more reasonable with my goals, given what's going on in my week. I'll probably start in November when my October monthly goals will be over.
I hope everyone is having a great week!

Weekly Weigh In
Even with my back still hurting, I went to my Weight Watchers meeting. Mostly we talked about what WW tools we like to use. For me, my iPhone app is huge, even though I don't use it as much as I should, I know it's there and can track my food with it.
Last Week's Weight: 299.4
This Week's Weight: 297.0
Loss: -2.4
Total Loss: -16.8
I tweeted on Monday night that I wasn't looking forward to weighing in, that I was hoping to stay the same, or lose. So I was delighted to see a loss when I went to weigh in. Even though my activity level has been greatly diminished, I was able to slightly recover from the big nasty gain of last week.
I checked back in my tracker, I started my Weight Watchers journey on 10/6/09 at 313.8. I am happy to report that since I dropped below the 300's I haven't been back since. So even though I've been loose with the plan and gaining and loosing the same weight for 4 months, I am still under the 300 mark. (Small victories)
I received the all clear to walk, but I am still unable to do much else, activity wise. It's frustrating, since I'd like to do more. I received my Buff Brides workout DVD in the mail and wanted to get started with that. I just think it's going to take awhile for the body to heal properly.
In other news, I am back to my regular work schedule, which is wonderful, and I am hopeful that I can resume my normal schedule. Now I've just got to work on getting my back fixed.

Weigh In Report
Well I knew it was going to be nasty...as evident from my post yesterday, it was a bad weekend and I'm dealing with some significant back pain. I am hoping that this is only a temporary set back.
Last week's weight: 293.2
This week's weight: 299.4
Gain: 6.2
Total loss: -14.4
Ouch, that's a lot. Accept and move on, not much I can do about it now. just focus on the long term goal. I am thankful that I didn't creep back up to the 300's, but it's too close for comfort. I was unable to stay for the meeting this week, due to my crazy work schedule this week.
Update on my back, my chiropractor introduced me to a product called BioFreeze, and she spoke highly about the product, so I am giving it a try, so far, so good. I like the ease of use with the product. I still need to ice my back, and it's tough to get anything accomplished when you are trying to take it easy and ice your back.
I am able to sit without being in much pain, I feel like the inflammation is going down. I still get a twinge of pain if I over do anything or if it's getting time to take more Excedrin, so I am stretching more and getting a bit more use out of it, but still babying my back just a bit.
I am a bit discouraged with the gain this week, but I know that there is nothing good that can come from sulking in my misery, best thing I can do is control the here and now. The past is in the past and it cannot be undone.
