If you follow my blog at all, you know that I work in public safety. I work for a Fire and EMS agency. I also have a second job working in a doctor’s office, helping with medical records. Both of my jobs fall under HIPAA regulations as I am dealing directly and indirectly with patients.
There are times that I need to be able to prove who I am and my job/reason for being someplace. Most commonly this is done in the form of an ID badge.
Although my company prints these cards in-house; I would suggest checking out the ID card software for more information about purchasing one of these systems.
Patient privacy is hugely important in today’s society with so many identify thefts happening. However, I believe it is the employer’s obligation to protect their employee’s too. One way they can ensure this is to provide ID’s to verify that the employee is who they say they are.
This company’s systems can also be customized to suite any business needs, including membership cards or gift cards for your business. The opportunities are endless.
